COVID Safe Plan as at November 2021

1. Ensure physical distancing

Action:

Multiple entry & exit points will be available at the venue to ensure patrons are not congregating as they enter & leave the venue.

Market manager will remind stallholders of the requirement to social distance.

Stall holders will remind their customers about physical distancing.

There will be volunteers patrolling the venue throughout the day to ensure that social distancing is maintained.

Density quotient: The total area of the venue is approximately 3,000 square meters. Applying the density quotient requirements would indicate that a maximum of 750 patrons could be on site at any one time. We will limit this to 500 patrons to ensure additional social distancing can be achieved should we not need to use the entire venue. History indicates that far fewer than 500 patrons will be onsite. Volunteers will ensure this capacity is not exceeded on the day.

2. Wear a face covering

Face masks are not currently required for outdoor venues however if the rules change, the market manager will ensure that face coverings  are worn unless a lawful exemption applies.

3. Practise good hygiene

Hand Sanitisation stations will be positioned throughout the venue for public use.

Shared facilities such as chairs & tables will be regularly cleaned.

Rubbish bins will be provided to ensure PPE equipment etc can be promptly disposed of.

Stall holders will be required to have hand sanitiser clearly accessible at their stalls.

Where possible stall holders & patrons will be encouraged to use contactless payment options such as credit card & minimise the handling of cash.

Stall holders will advice patrons not to handle produce unless purchasing.

4. Keep records and act quickly if workers become unwell

QR Codes for checkin will be provided by the market itself as well as by individual stall holders.

Stall holders & patrons will be advised of the following:

Anyone feeling unwell must not attend the market.

An employer must not require a worker to attend work if they are unwell or displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

Anyone who has been advised for DHHS to quarantine or isolate must not attend the market.

5. Avoid interactions in enclosed spaces
